The anecdotes are mostly entertaining, but I didn’t finish with the feeling I knew her any better. Get it free with day trial. This was like getting a glimpse into what I think is one of the most down-to-earth celebrities there is today. Listening to Chenoweth ramble on about her life on Broadway and in Hollywood was a joy — all of her spunk and personality came through in this book.

Jun 27, Rory rated it it was amazing Shelves: In this lively, laugh-out-loud book, Kristin shares her journey from Oklahoma beauty queen to Broadway leading lady, reflecting on how faith and family have kept her grounded in the dysfunctional rodeo of show biz. Any other time something like that would have annoyed me but she made me like it, it was so funny.

While her faith and my faith or your faith may not always agree, I enjoyed her resolution in the face of a community who at best disagrees and at worse doesn’t care. I read this via audiobook, which I would recommend because Chenoweth is a great narrator. Sets My Brain on Fire, then he evolved for a long, lovely spell into Mr.

Lists with This Book. I don’t particularly like chick flicks or love stories so this was my alternative. It’s all very surface–no real meat and potatoes.
